The Wound Man is a popular 16th century woodcut that illustrates various injuries that a person might receive through war, accident, or disease: cuts and bruises from multiple weapons, rashes and pustules, thorn scratches, and the bites of venomous animals. It originally appeared as a 15th century medical diagram with annotations next to all of the various wounds, but was adapted by Hans von Gersdorff which still remains the most recognisable version to this date.

My version of the artwork is 25cm x 35cm engraved on tulip wood and finished in a two tone woodstain, it's part of an ongoing medical series I will be showcasing in the upcoming weeks!
